March brings sacred thawing. Not all at once, but

March brings sacred thawing.
Not all at once, but little by little.
We let go of what we carried through
winter that we don’t need anymore.
Old worries, old habits, old heaviness, expectations that were never really ours.
We make space in our minds, our homes,
and our hearts.

The days are getting longer.
The sun feels a bit warmer.
The air starts to shift.
And with the spring equinox,
we reach a moment of balance
between light and dark standing equal.

It’s a reminder to check in with ourselves
and ask where we can come back into
right relationship with our lives,
our energy, our choices?

You don’t have to rush.
Growth can be slow.
Healing can be quiet.
Change can happen one small choice at a time.
Step outside when you can.
Let the sunlight touch your face.
Take a deep breath and notice what’s
softening inside you.

We are moving toward warmth again.
Toward clarity.
Toward new beginnings.
Amen. Aho. And so it is.

Take a step back from all of the extra tasks
Don’t feel guilty about taking a day off
Rest when your body is calling you to do so
Go to bed earlier, or take a midday nap
Fill yourself with warm fluids
Get under that blanket!

Cancel plans when it does not align
Turn inward, honour stillness and move slowly.

Like the earth resting beneath the snow
and the waters paused in their movement,
I too trust that flow will return in its own time.

I allow myself to mirror this wisdom,
I soften my pace. I listen to what my
internal and external worlds are
telling me. I move only as fast as my
breath allows. I do not force what is
meant to flow.

I release the need to push or prove. I trust the pause and honour this season of slowing down.

Nothing needs to be rushed.
Nothing needs to be figured out
in this moment, I am choosing to
simply be.

Following our first SHAMANIC CACAO CEREMONY of the year, we are each reminded of the power of stillness.

To slow down.
To be gentle with ourselves.
To allow space for not always doing and to honour rest as truly something sacred.

We are also called into accountability
for who we walk with,
how we walk,
how we show up,
how we serve.

☕️Ceremonial cacao, a medicine of the heart, nourishes the living flow within each of us,
the fluid breath moving through our lungs,
the rhythm pulsing through our bodies, keeping us alive and connected to the heartbeat of Mother Earth.

May we each walk forward grounded, present and in ayni, (right relationship) most importantly, with ourselves first.
